Sometimes restarting or reinstalling Gecko Out can help fix crashes, freezes, or missing content. Here’s how you can do it safely:
🟢 Restarting the Game
- Restarting simply closes the game completely and reopens it — no data will be lost.
- On iOS (Apple): Swipe up from the bottom of the screen (or double-tap the Home button on older devices), find Gecko Out, and swipe it away to close. Then reopen the game.
- On Android: Open the multitasking view, find Gecko Out, and swipe it away to close. Then reopen the game.
🔵 Reinstalling the Game
Reinstalling means deleting and downloading the game again. This can solve deeper issues but should be done carefully.
- On iOS (Apple):
- Tap and hold the Gecko Out icon on your home screen
- Select Remove App → Delete App
- Go to the App Store, search for Gecko Out, and reinstall
- On Android:
- Tap and hold the Gecko Out icon
- Select Uninstall
- Go to the Google Play Store, search for Gecko Out, and reinstall
⚠️ Important: Gecko Out does not currently support cloud saving (Google/Apple login). This means your progress is stored only on your device. If you uninstall without having your old device available, your progress may be lost. If you want to be sure before reinstalling, please contact us first.
