Drop Away eatures unique obstacles and hole types, bringing depth and strategy to the game (the best is yet to come β stay tuned!).
Hereβs a quick overview of each obstacle mechanic to help you master the challenges and beat the levels:
π Elevator β Elevators hold a certain number of people.
βοΈ Arrow β Holes with arrows move in only one direction.
π³οΈ Layer β Remove holes layer by layer, starting with the inner layers.
π Combined β Separate combined holes by finishing one part of the pair first.
π Lock & Key β Chained holes canβt move until unlocked. Collect keys to unchain.
πͺ£ Tube β Tubes hold people, and they can jump into the hole from four sides.
β Star β Star characters only fall into starry holes.
π§ Ice β Break the ice by filling holes.
πͺ¨ Stone β Stone pieces can be moved around.
π£ Bomb β Drop the bomb characters before they explode.
π¨ π¦ Crate & Hammer β Break crates by collecting hammers.
π§ Barrier β Barriers prevent characters from falling into holes from certain directions.
βοΈ Rope & Scissors β Collect scissors to cut the rope.
π¨ Color Path β Only holes of the same color can pass through.
π₯· Hidden β Hidden holes can be moved β fill the other holes to reveal them.
βοΈ Frozen β Frozen man can be moved β fill the other holes to unfroze them.

𧨠Dynamite β Dynamite blocks must be cleared within 3 moves. Each time any block is destroyed, the dynamiteβs counter decreases by 1 β if the dynamite is still on the board at the end of the 3rd move (or you clear three other blocks without removing the dynamite), it will explode.
π Plug Man β Grab the Plug Man and connect him to the matching socket to activate the mechanism. Once connected, the socket will trigger and unlock the hole beneath it, allowing you to continue progressing through the level.
π Bridge β Bridged holes are linked and move together as one unit. The bridge can slide across the board, even over other objects, allowing you to reposition it strategically to clear your path.
π§Fence β To unlock the fence obstacle, you must first clear the other hammered hole that matches the fenceβs color. Once that hole is cleared, the hammer above the fence will activate and break it.
- π³οΈ Expanding Hole β Expanding holes are initially two connected blocks, one filled and one empty. When you tap and move it, it temporarily occupies two blocks on the board. After you release, it returns to normal, leaving one side empty again. Plan your moves carefully based on this temporary expansion!
- π©ΉBroken Hole β Broken holes cannot collect passengers on their own while they are in a broken state. You must merge all broken pieces together to restore them into a complete block before they can function normally.
- πͺWood Chipper β Wooden holes don't disappear once you've filled them with passengers. You must chip the blocks first, once itβs chipped, they disappear!
- π§ββοΈ Stuck Man β Holes cannot be moved while a stuck man is present on them. You must first free these characters from being stuck before interacting with the hole. Once they are released, the hole becomes movable again and you can continue your strategy accordingly. Plan your steps carefully and prioritize clearing stuck men to avoid blocking your progress.
- π Elevator β If you clear the blocks positioned in front of the elevator, new blocks will emerge from it. You can preview the colors of the upcoming blocks directly on the elevator, so adjust your moves based on this information. Timing and color planning are critical here, since the incoming blocks can either help you progress or complicate the board if used without preparation.
- β Obstructing Hole β Obstacles surround the Obstructing Hole and donβt interfere while you are moving it. However, once you place the hole, barriers extend outward from its edges and block the paths of nearby blocks. Because these obstacles can restrict movement and limit your options, you need to plan the placement carefully and think ahead before deciding where to leave it.
- π Rail Hole: In Rail Hole, you can move drops only along the designated railway paths. They cannot go outside these paths. You can guide them only along the white lines on the track.
π‘ Pro Tip: Obstacles often combine in creative ways. Study the board carefully and focus on the ones that limit your moves the most before tackling the rest.
