In Twisted Tangle, there are several types of obstacles that you may encounter:

  • Fixed Pins: These are pins where one end of the rope is fixed to the board. You cannot move the fixed end, but you can move the other end to untangle ropes.

  • Blocked Tile: Blocked tiles restrict where you can place pins. These tiles are visible as faded spots on the board, and you cannot place pins on them.

  • Key & Lock: To overcome this obstacle, you must first untangle the ropes connected to the key. Once the ropes are resolved, the lock will automatically open.

  • Octopus: Octopus pins have multiple arms, meaning a single pin can have two ropes attached, increasing the complexity of the puzzle.

  • Barrier / Cone: These yellow cones require you to carefully guide ropes around them. If not done correctly, the ropes will tangle.
